Grey Stone Books is a small publishing company that specialises in mountain guide books and other outdoor titles. We produced our first guidebook, Bowland and the South Pennines by John Gillham and Phil Iddon in 1990 and have been slowly adding to our list since then
Grey Stone Books is owned and managed by the outdoor writer John Gillham (pictured right). At Grey Stone we pride ourselves on the quality of our books. They’re not the run-of-the-mill books that some of the larger publishers churn out. Book buyers can be sure that our titles are a good read as well as being good companion guides on the hills and mountains. Check out some of the reviews.
John Gillham publishing is an imprint of Grey Stone Books and will concentrate on walking guide books of a more local nature and travel books.
